Class of ’05 Alumnus Lili Maya and her creative partner James Rouvelle have a performance with orchestra accompaniment at the Bohemian National Hall in NYC this Saturday March 31 at 7pm.
The music is a world premiere by composer Bruce Adolphe, whose work is based on a theme from Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9, From The New World. Their concept for this virtual cinema performance is the promise of a new world, its unlimited potential and personal freedom, and how technology has always played a role in this fantasy. We are working with performer Laura King-Pazuchowski, who will traverse the membrane of our shared environment of lived experience and the fantasy of virtual, illimitable, dream-space.
